I attended “Video-Conferencing It’s Easy, Free and Powerful!” by Brian Crosby
This session showed the many ways that video-conferencing can be used in the classroom:
1. inclusion
2. sharing an experience
3. hearing from an expert
I especially enjoyed seeing how Brian used video-conferencing to include an ill student into the class when she was unable to physically attend school. I can see this being a great tool to change the way we do “field trips” especially given the tough economic times. Many schools are cutting field trips due to costs and this can be a good alternative.
